Wisconsin Spring...or not?

Well...

I'M MARRIED!! :)

Our wedding day was the most beautiful, the most perfect, the absolute best day of my entire life. Every single part of it came together in a flawless, completely blissful way. The day was full of emotion, as I knew it would be. Tears, smiles, laughter, hugs, I love yous, I'll miss yous, some more tears, some more laughter.

To describe it in one single word, it was perfect. :)

My husband (yes! my husband!!) and I left very early Sunday morning for Fort Lauderdale, Florida where we boarded the Celebrity Solstice for a 7-night Eastern Caribbean cruise. It was beyond amazing! The ocean was so beautiful (though, I'm still partial to the Pacific), our ports of call (Puerto Rico, Saint Thomas, and Sint Maarten) were so fun and the shopping was great! It was nice to be in the islands again, even though it was on the wrong side of the world... ;)

The food. The FOOD. THE FOOD. The food...was incredible. We had fixed dinner seating every night and all the wait staff treated us like we were, well...celebrities. :) Each dish that was served was so yummy! I feel my culinary skills need a lot of work now... ;)

So, overall, our honeymoon was again, perfect. :)

In short, we have had a perfect first week of marriage. :)

It is our first morning in our new home. We drove 7 hours yesterday from St. Louis and when we arrived, my darling Corey carried me across the threshold of our new home. :) We opened presents and ordered pizza and turned on my record player Corey gave me as a wedding gift.

I was up early this morning, itching to make our grocery list, our Target list, and our To Do list for today. I cleaned the kitchen and started the dishwasher with all our brand new, GORGEOUS dishes in it. And now I am simply sitting, thinking about the changes swirling around my life.

Today is supposed to be a snow day with up to 10 inches of snow. I guess I have another spring to look forward to. :)

Today is our laundry/unpack/grocery day.

Today is the start of our "real" life together.

And the changes are piling up. But I must say that I am excited to see what life has in store for us. (Big change: always saying "us" and "we" and "our"...I am a plural!)

Life is changing...and I like it. :)

  1. *tears* That's all Daddy and I ever wanted was for you to have the wedding you always dreamed of, Queen.

You were a daughter to be proud of, sweetie. We all might have had some very "tender" moments in the months and weeks before the wedding but I can truthfully say, you were the picture-perfect princess-queen the week of your wedding. I'm so thankful for your attitude and spirit. My soul makes her boast in the Lord!

Corey gets the gold star for all the planning he did to show his love for you as his wife. I will never forget seeing your face, Danielle, when you laid eyes on all those kisses on the floor and saw your beautiful wedding day gift from your groom. Then a honeymoon to remember, wonderful in every way. We know he's so glad to finally have you "HOME, SWEET HOME!"

The best is yet to come. Daddy and I believe that with all our hearts.

Corey, we're proud of you, and your Queen is, too. We couldn't be happier for you both. Congratulations, you two!

    Much love,
    xoxo
